Tile painting is a traditional Chinese craft with a 2,000-year history. Every art tile from Wind River is hand-painted by highly skilled craftspeople, then kiln-fired at high temperatures with brilliant colors, complex glazes, and unique textures. The artistic process is painstaking and time-intensive - and the results are, quite literally, works of art.

Wind River 12" tiles can be hung on a wall using the built-in hook on the back, or placed on an easel on a tabletop or the floor for display. While we recommend that the tiles be used indoors and for decorative purposes only, many of our customers have successfully used the tiles outdoors (in temperate climates), as trivets, and as accent tiles in standard tile installations.
